Forget one blog, Edwards just launched fifty-six of them
One national, fifty states, DC, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa. They just sent out the email at 10:00 EDT, so most people will not read it until later in the day on Thursday, but there are already several posts on the state pages that I saw.

Here is the site. Here is part of the email:

We are pleased to write and let you know about an exciting new phase of the Edwards for President campaign. As we pass from summer into fall, election season kicks into high gear! Following his successful summer bus trips through Iowa and New Hampshire, Senator Edwards has pledged to hold 100 town hall meetings in New Hampshire. In Iowa, over 200 new local activists recently endorsed John Edwards. And here in Raleigh, we are launching a new tool for supporters and volunteers to come together and share your stories about why you support John Edwards for president and what you can do to help move him to victory!

Today, we are launching our campaign blog - an online discussion area for Edwards supporters like you (http://blog.JohnEdwards2004.com). Each state and territory has its own blog page, just for the people in your state. There is also a national blog where you can chat with supporters from across the nation.

This is a great opportunity to organize with other volunteers for get-togethers like debate-watching parties, events when the Senator comes to a community near you, and road trips to states with early primaries. You can post your own stories from the campaign trail along with interesting articles from your local paper. Each state has a Volunteer Coordinator who will keep the discussion going and help you organize events.

4. With 56 blogs, he might not need to pay Meetup in order to help
organize people.

You know meetup charges for prominent placement and other services which help get the numbers up.

Having said that, I do have to say that I'm impressed that, even thought they're paying for it, the response is really impressive.

2. 56 DLC blogs on the net, 56 bloggers are here!
If one blogger hobnobs himself a better job, 55 bloggers are here!

3. Thanks!
Even though I'm more for Kerry, I'm interested in Edwards too so I went and signed up. They say they are glad to have someone who isn't angry, so it's going to be interested to see what these folks have to say.

5. Not angry?
It's been said, but if you aren't angry, you aren't paying attention.

Dean and Kerry and Kucinich are all tapping into the anger that we feel; this is no time to be passive. Even Lieberman's angry!

The debate should be great tomorrow night.

6. That's what one of them said
It'll be interesting to hear what it's like to have lived with their viewpoint for the last 2 years!

And I'm still remembering the Iowa Caucus focus group I watched. 'Dean is so angry' and 'Graham is just nuts'. The Graham one got me because it was the MTP where he was talking about whether Bush lies rise to the level of impeachment and the woman thought he was nuts! Didn't know WHAT he could be talking about. Do you think that's a happier place to live, you know, just totally oblivious?
