With the Thanksgiving holiday behind us we liberals
Edited on Fri Nov-26-04 01:32 AM by antonialee839
can get to work on our diabolical scheme to rid the world of Christmas.
Yes folks, that is what one wingnut announced to another at my place of my employment. The conversation went down as follows:
Winger one: "I'm going to bring in my Christmas music" Winger two:
"I'd watch doing that, the liberals are trying to abolish Christmas."

1. Sure! It will serve as a nice backdrop for banning the bible.
The christian coalition told me it, so it must be true.

2. I get to hear a whole goddamn MONTH of that shit at my job.
It's kinda like cancer. My casino currently plays 80's music over the PA. Beginning right about now, maybe one song in every ten will be some kind of Christmas tune. With each passing week the percentage will increase until the final week of Christmas you will hear ONLY Christmas music.

What's worse still is that last year they didn't gut it from the playlist until about JANUARY 10TH.

3. I hear you, but this guy
Edited on Fri Nov-26-04 01:48 AM by antonialee839
wasn't talking about songs or any of the general trimmings that come with Christmas, he was talking about our plot to do away with CHRISTMAS period, as in wipe it off the face of the earth. Later in the evening when I was speaking with wingnut one, I excused myself telling him that if I was going to help abolish Christmas, time was of the essence and I didn't have even a spare minute for his idle chit-chat.

4. You've got to get creative
bring your hannukah music to work

Hey minor holiday, but they don't know that

Oh and mention to them all about Hannukah Harry (a figment of the Ameircan imagination) and of course how you will decorate your hannukah bush.

;-)

Yes be creative, even if you are not jewish.... bring in a dreidle, paper of course to deck the halls...
