Think I'm gonna vomit..
Shrub is is my town right now(KC), kissing up and making comments about the Royals,Chiefs and our Barbeque. Now he is talking about how great KC is, and how the econmomy is moderate right now. I so wanted to go down and protest, but have a class in a few minutes and couldn't attend. He just said our econmomy is growing, yet the number of unemployed in KC is 44,000 and climbing. Having him less than 20 miles from me is making my tummy hurt! Oh, well, I'm off to class. That'll put some distance between me and *.
:puke:

2. The LIVE thing right now?
All that crap about, "putting your arm around your fellow man..." and shit like that. Is he fucking delusional or is he merely insane. Has he no clue whatsoever that charitable contributions are down some 35%? Where's all that trickle down shit he has already given away to his super rich oligarchy cronies? Shouldn't he be telling all that bullshit to them from within their gated communities? Bush has lost his mind ~

And for that matter...why the hell are they still applauding this liar? Or is that the very nature of Nazi sheeple?

4. Where are you watching or listening to this?
Has there been any coverage of the protestors? More than one group was planning on going.

I was listening to KCUR, the local NPR station listening to Steve Kraske, local KC Star reporter (who was apparently at the Dean Meetup last night) talking to other reporters about this visit and how the economy was looking good and wouldn't be an issue next November and how he'd undoubtedly carry Missouri. I sent an email to the show challenging those perceptions, but I don't think Kraske normally responds to emails while on air.

When they cut away to cover the speech I turned off the radio, because I absolutely cannot tolerate the sound of his voice. Maybe I'll go downstairs and turn on the TV without sound and see what I can glean from body language.

5. CNBC is one place.
Probably CSPAN, too.

Just turned it on and heard him brag that over a million had NOT been fired so far because of him.

I'm gonna be sick.

6. The local news stations
had it on, and then went back to regular programming, which for two of them meant the midday news. At least one of them covered the protesters, saying about 2000-2500 were there. Wow! And they would have been in Bush's line of sight as he exited the venue, it looks like.
