Whether they believed their YES vote on the proposition really gave Bush carte blanche re: Iraq is debatable.

I'm curious, are they spineless if they believed in what they were voting for?

3. Of course!!
Didn't you get the memo? Voting for the resolution can only mean "voting for war". Either you're for war, or you're against war.

The fact that Dems who voted for the resolution put their careers at risk has nothing to do with "spine"

4. You're wrong. Few stuck their necks out to negotiate with Bush
to prevent a REAL blank check. It cost them their vote.

Of course, many here seem to prefer that NO Democrat negotiate for the presentation of evidence to the UN, for more weapons inspections, and NO invasion of Iran and Syria.

So......I guess you all WANTED Bush to have a REAL blank check where he did NOT go back to the UN with evidence, NOT have inspectors in and the bombing of Iran and Syria to begin right after the fall of Baghdad. Suit yourself...those were the ONLY choices.

14. Yeah BLM you are right - justlook at what our "negotiations" has gotten us
We are the most despised nation internationally. We are broke. We have billions of dollars unaccounted for. We have a media that pumps out propanganda and lies. So you bet. Our caving in, oh excuse me, let me use YOUR term, NEGOTIATING has been tremendously successful.

Negotiating with bullies = Tyranny

16. What are you talking about?
All of the things you speak of are the result of Bush*'s policies, and were NOT caused by any negotiations.

19. Are Democrats are potted plants? What would be their role in Congress?
Are you saying that the Democrats job is not to uphold the Constitution and the greatest interest of Americans, but simply to allow and implement Bush's policies?

There is a procedure to be used in government that seems to have been thrown out with the baby. Its called "checks and balances".

There is also a word in the English languages. Its spelled NO.

Many of the Democrats have apparently forgotten when to use both the word AND the procedure.

20. Sophistry
It was the Bush* admin who implemented those policies, not the Dems. No wonder you repeatedly avoid blaming Bush*, while criticizing Dems for not blaming Bush*

8. ballet is pysically very diffucult
not to get too PC here, but I know a dancer, and she is one of the toughest people I know.

So aside from being not very funny, and way overdone, the ballerina joke is kind of ignorant.

9. bullshit, it takes more political courage to go against
the knee-jerk anti-war reactionary movement in a primary than it does to make the political decision to throw red-meat to them by latching onto it when they couldn't need it more.

and then offering no alternative strategy to change the middle east

to tell you that this is the type of thread I will not post on. Your picture is disgusting and should never be seen on a democratic forum.
