Blackwater contractors, Fallujah, Abu Ghraib connection?

Remember back in April when the four Blackwater contractors were killed in Fallujah? Theye were essentially drawn and quartered, burnt and hung from the bridge. This seemed pretty drastic at the time and while there was persistent violence, it was not at the current level. The only incident in Fallujah had been when the army opened fire on a group of demonstrators I think sometime in 2003, killing a bunch of Iraqis. Prior to that, there wasn't a great deal of violence.

Well, I'm beginning to wonder whether there was a connection between the Blackwater contractors and Abu Ghraib!! Could it be that the torture at Abu Ghraib was common knowledge among the Iraqis even though us Americans were completely ignorant about it until the scandal broke? Prisoners were released from AG and it is entirely possible they told their story. I also remember an incident I think in late 2003 or early 2004 when the AG prison was bombed and some prisoners died...I wonder in retrospect whether this was an Iraqi "honor killing" given the stories of sexual humiliation...

I also remember also that there was this big mystery as to what the Blackwater contractors were doing in Fallujah. An operation? Just passing through? It's possible that their murders were a "payback" of sorts for AG to begin with! The reaction of the American government to their killing was to vow revenge and "payback" to the murderers, hence the levelling of Fallujah. The gov't also never clearly explained the connection of the Blackwater contractors and the US government. This has never been adequately explained! I am beginning to wonder if there is a Blackwater connection to Abu Ghraib.

I don't think our government wants the extent to which we are relying on private contractors to do our intelligence work exposed. I think there is some serious dirt there and that's why we have been distracted from these connections. I think that alot of our intelligence network has been "privatized", which may explain Rumsfeld's objection to intelligence reform. The thought that private contractors have the knowledge base of our intelligence may explain the gross incompetence of the Iraqi mission and could be tantamount to treason! Any good internet researchers out there who can establish an audit trail to confirm or debunk my thinking?

1. I think there is a big connection

even if the blackwater guys had nothing to do with it many held at Abu Garib were released in Fallujah and they talked about what happened to them. Thoses contractors might have been on the receiving end of revenge.

2. I would like some clever internet researchers see if they can find links

to establish a timeline or series of events. I want to "out" these private contractors and evaluate who is benefitting from their use and if they are undermining our democracy, let alone the war crimes they may be committing and I don't think they are protected by military rules of engagement.

Its a great one. One of the best outside tactical ranges around. And its annual gun shoot with Armed Forces contractor magazine has plenty of 'gun porn' each year.
