Ahhh!! The shrub introduced the first NFL game tonight!
Edited on Thu Sep-04-03 08:02 PM by ryharrin
:puke:
on edit: More details. He had a pre-taped (of course) statement about how football is great tradition, how much he loves the troops, etc. The usual Bush blather.

22. Hmmm. Bush would have been great with grenades in Nam.
Too bad he didn't find a way to get there. His team would have provided him with a really neat uniform.

23. Are you for real?
Positron, I want some of what you're smokin'. First, you say Lieberman wins the debate and now you're saying Bush looks manly?

I'm a petite flower and I look like I could whoup Jr.'s ass. Please. Go evangelize elsewhere, sir.

27. I am a HUGE baseball fan
and I am used to being around military men. Bush does not have the bearing, and if you think throwing a baseball well is cool, it goes to show how erroneous your judgement is.

2. Was this not disgusting!!!!
The NFL supports the brave troops. Bla bla bla. And now Bush??? I don't remember Clinton ever being on to kick off the NFL season. Not that I really watch football, but when you've got a teen-age son in the house...well. Is this normal???

8. Funny you should point this out...
Many years ago, I was working on the film M*A*S*H. Quoting our leader, Robert Altman, we would remark that "Football is the kindergarten of War - so said Aristotle". Nobody ever questioned it. Fact is - in the movie, the only violence takes place in the football game.

33. Are you a Detroit Lions fan?
You must be if you think Bush is the "football type" and Clinton isn't. I was ten feet away from Clinton, and I'm here to tell you, he's a big dude. I was surprised how much bigger he looks in real life. Shrub is a little cheerleading pansy that would run home to mommy after his first bloody nose.

7. I couldn't hear a word he said
I was too busy screaming obscenities at the screen, and going on about the illegitimate President sending people off to die in his illegitimate war after having stolen an election and then spent all of his time pulling money out of my pocket and stuffing it into the pockets of his rich friends.
(End of rant)

Saw it as cheap, shallow, publicity-grabbing, pandering, limbaugh-loving, hypocrisy.

Can anybody actually not see this chap manipulation?

This is soooooo much propaganda I just can't stand it!

His beady eyes were mentioned - loudly - but luckily the sound was turned down so we didn't have to listen to the usual cr*p.

Now I get it. Pepsi, Bob Dole, Britney Spears. Last I knew the Mormons owned Pepsi. Is that still the case? Have the Bushies bought the Mormons too? Is that how Utah got the Olympics? My mind goes atwirl.

19. NFL Kickoff Party = 1st Democratic Debate - Same Date - Coincidence?
Why is it that every opportunity for Democrats or others to get out a message critical to the Fascist in Chief, there's a coincident rousing event or manufactured crisis to pump up Shrub's positions?

Coincidence? Bah...
