Democrats vs. Republican support for the Iraq war . Dems wanted it too.

Almost all Republicans seem to have supported this war, but an awful lot of Democrats agreed with it too. As I compared the numbers in Feb and March below, I noticed what a powerful effect ratcheting up the propaganda by the news media had. Basically, they can make most of the people believe anything strictly through headlines and soundbites. As long as the warmongers control the media, they control America.

I notice the Senate and House approved action only on the condition that Iraq gave up their WMDs. Iraq did. Does this mean the war was illegal under US law?

2. John Dean makes a very compelling argument

that there were impeachable actions by bush during the offering of the resolution (regarding language in the resolution) and applying the resolution to give the okay for war. Read his recent book, 'Worse Than Watergate'. Very cogent and compelling.

3. I agree with JVS

I never supported this war for one second. My bullshit radar was going Defcon 9 the moment I heard the first rumblings about Iraq. NOTHING added up about it. Nothing. And it stunk like ten day old fish.

The very first question I had was "Why would we attack Iraq when we haven't secured or finished rebuilding Afghanistan?"

When was the last time you heard anything about rebuilding in Afghanistan?

The next were the WMDs. I never thought Iraq had them. And if they did, I thought our evidence for such should be tighter than a drum if we were talking about a pre-emptive invasion. And it wasn't. It completely wasn't.

What I can't get over are how many everyday Americans and other world citizens who saw right through this from the beginning and yet others seemed to be so easily duped.

I loathe the fact that a SINGLE Dem voted for it.
