But people don't like to use them for a lot of reasons.

Many years back I had a job where I worked a cash drawer, and for the last six months I was working, I made sure I had $2.00 bills in the drawer. Exactly twice in that period of time did a customer refuse the bill. Everyone else would look sort of bemused, but accept them.

I really liked using the two dollar bill, and it's too bad a couple of big companies (like Wal-Mart or Target) doesn't start handing them out with the change.

If it's been discontinued, it would have nothing to do with smearing Jefferson, but to a lack of use.

Jefferson is already represented on our money. The $2 dollar bill sucks in actual usage but has a nice design.

have made more two dollar bills this year. It has not been phased out and is still legal currency and is only worth two dollars so don't bother saving them. Also if the government can ever get the dollar coin right and knock some senese into the American public you are going to see a lot more of them. The plan is one day to get rid of the dollar bill make dollar coins and fill the voind with two dollar bills

Whats your take on why the dollar coins aren't accepted? So far, they've had the SueB and the Sacajawea dollar. Common ties: About the size of a quarter, and have women on them. Hopefully the former is more of a problem than the latter.

and the sheer pig headedness of American. They don't like the idea and think well if I buy something for a dollar and give them a five then I am going to have these bulky coins in my pocket. The rest of the world has excepted the idea of one mark, euro, yen, pound coins. In most countries you can't get a single denomination paper bill.

Seriously. Maybe if you're used to it you just get over it, but after awhile my wallet might have 10-15 ones in it. They're there and I can use the. Change though I dump out of my pockets when I get home and forget to put them back in.

Not to mention that if you don't wear tight ass pants when you sit down at a theater say the money falls out.

I've spent enough time in different European countries to know that dollar/euro/pound/etc coins weigh my side down so much I need to see a chiropractor.

I'm sorry, I may be pig headed, but I've experienced it and I think they suck. They're cool at first but for me the novelty ended fast.

I'd rather they just get rid of all money and make everything debit cards. Making money, distributing it to banks, etc, costs money. We don't need cold hard cash anymore, it's not like it's based on gold anymore or anything. It's meaningless. Lets just go 100% electronic money.

for some strange reason. Myself I have full uncut sheets of money 36 bills to a sheet. You can get them from the treasury or bureau of engraving too, they have some nice gift ideas also.
