Congress and specifically the House has been a rubberstamp since the 2002 midterms. Even when our former fearful leaders Gephardt and Daschle did put up a fight it was only for show. The Republicans aren't fooling me-this is pure BS and cover for sliding the original legislation through after supposedly warding off extreme changes that had been proposed.

Novak is leading the charge by making the assinine claim that W is a lameduck before he even takes his second oath (not that the first seemed to take) which was cited by the ever whorish Russert yesterday. PLEASE! this is all soap opera crap. They all take their marching orders together, Sensenbrenner and Hunter (dumbest man on the Hill) are just engaging in a show to cover up the Repubs full out assault on the New Deal, the Dems, and the Constitution. They will appear to have differences and in the end it will all work out (for them) as they planned it.

In this scenario, Robert Novak becomes a "manager," one of those overweight, out-of-shape misanthropes who patrols the outside of the ring for his wrestler, always ready to administer the low blow or the kick to the head of someone who's been tossed out of the ring. And, just like a manager, Novak runs like a rabbit at the first sign of personal danger.

Afterwards, away from the cameras, they all light up in the locker room and have a good laugh at the rubes' gullibility.
