I'm sick of HATE radio!

How come you cannot speak negatively against any group in public broadcasting except Liberals? I heard Bill O'Reilly imply the other day that Liberals like to get abortions and have sex with one person after another. Tammy Bruce acts like were are God hating degenerates and Rush Limbaugh straight out says we are stupid and amoral. Basically all of us are being slandered on a daily basis by these radio talk show hosts.

I am sick of it. Is the only recourse we have to boycott? We are a legitimate group made up of Jews, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, atheists, African Americans, American Indians, Eastern Indians, gays, straights and every other type of group that is not allowed to be abused individually. Why can they abuse us because we unite into one basic philosophy? What would the anti-defamation league say about this? I think it is time that we ask.

We are being used the punching bag for all spiteful, hateful Conservatives. And I really do not see us sending back to them what they throw at us. Probably because we as a group have a more pacifist nature and could not act in those ways. I know I could not live with myself if I spent my days spewing vitriol against a group of people urging others to do the same.


You do not see as much of this on regular television, (although I know it goes on), but talk radio seems to be beyond ethical responsibility. I think it is high time we called a stop to this.

Besides checking legally if there is any recourse we can take I will again call for a boycott of the advertisers of these nasty radio personnel. I have a list from SW Florida where you cannot find one nice thing to listen to in the form of talk radio most of the time. I will post the names on my next post in case this is too long. I'm sure they are fairly similar to the ones you YOUR neighborhood.

and why can't our side get a wealthy person or two to pony up some cash to buy airtime? Soros seems to be pissed off, as well as Warren Buffet. The corporate media is HUGE business in this country and it looks like nobody is going to break their stranglehold on the cash flow machine. I think I read somewhere that there are seven companies that own 98% of the media in this country. That is apalling. We need to petition Soros, Buffet, and other wealthy people who share our beliefs to at least muscle in and get us a show or two. Boycotting is good in principle, but, speaking from experience, it is nearly impossible to boycott all of the sponsors. I do, however, know of one instance where an all out boycott against a company worked, but it was Union related and it was only one company.

While you're probably screwed if you're wanting to listen while in the car, there are probably numerous feeds on the web which might serve your purpose. For starters you might try the CBC radio webpage or the Pacifica radio website. Since I'm not a big talk radio connoisseur, I'm not sure if this is quite what you're lookin' for, but I'd venture to guess if you did a thorough search of the web you might find some good stuff.

he certainly is no hatemonger; he's not overtly political at all.

His show is a consumer advocacy program, and from what I can determine from reading between the lines, he's probably the most progressive radio personality at his home station (WSB AM 750, Atlanta).

I've just given you some companies that you can AVOID. We have enough people to influence.

Remember that these hate mongers influenced a tremendous amount of people in the last election. They made it sound like being a Democrat was disgraceful. For many people who do not really look into the issues or use their own head it is a very effective tactic.

We need to take back out country. Talk radio is a big part of that. And I do not think changing the channel is going to work because plenty of people are listing. They are listening to false propaganda and are believe it. (What was the name of that radio person in Vietnam that spewed out mis-information continuously to get the people to believe they were winning the war? Hanoi something?)

That's also why Moon bought the Washington Times, and what Rupert Murdoch is all about..

They are not interested in "getting their message out".. They are ALL about NO OTHER MESSAGE getting out..

A massive RE-regulation is needed, but will NEVER happen under a republican administration.. WHY would they willingly give up their empire?? They will NEVER do it .

Lots of these "programs" don;t even make money...but the message is so important that it does not even matter.. I am convinced that they are getting secret funding somehow, but proving it would probably be impossible.. These folks are very good at what they do.:(

Why there is so much hatred and vitrol between the parties, the honest answer is Right Wing Hate radio. Rush was just the first of many. And guess what....you can change the channel all you want, you can twist that dial til your fingers ache, but you will be lucky as hell to find anything else!
I used to love talk radio until it was taken over. I mourned for ten years. Then I got the internet! Yay!
There has to be some stations out there we could pick up. I just hope someone is working on it.
