Years ago, I did janatorial work in an airport and hundreds of Chick Tracts were left in the lobby every week. Must've been because those little Chick Tracts disappeared so quickly in that airport.

6. Finally found one recently

I've known about Chick tracts for years but I never saw one until a few weeks ago I found one in the men's room of the restaurant I was in.

Ironically it was an Italian place, which means the people who own it are most likely Jack Chick's public enemy #1 (Catholic).

I remember reading "This Was Your Life" when I was younger. Maybe I didn't read it enough times, it had no effect on me. :crazy: This reminds me of the immigrants in Las Vegas who are given jobs distributing ads for porn on the streets. You'll see 15 people (kids, women, teens, seniors) standing in a row as you approach. The first guy flicks a card in your face with a snap. When you ignore him, the next guy does the same. And the next, and the next. By the time you get to the last guy in the line you're thinking "I ignored the other 14, what makes you think I'll take this card from you?" Then you see thousands of discarded cards laying in the street. Jeez.

The latest anti-Halloween one was somewhat clever in that Little Suzie or whatever gets the bright idea of handing out bags of treats to the Trick-Or-Treaters that contain a "religious tract" in them so she can save the kids in the Blue's Clues costumes from eternal damnation for celebrating Samhain or whatever. She suggests to a friend that she can do it as well - hint, hint, hint - buy some Chick Tracts for Halloween - hint, hint, hint.

I first ran into them in grad school in tthe mid-90s. I had gone to Chicago to go to the Hispanic Leadership Conference, and there were a bunch of Chick's anti-Catholic tracts lying around the lobbies of the hotel.
