Do you personally know anyone who now regrets not voting for Kerry?

I've been wondering this.

Social security being privatized...
"The war is lost"...
Cabinet members leaving...
Bills w/ mental health screening and IRS snooping...
2/3 of the population do not think he has a mandate...

and so on.

Some people must be regretting it now, I would think. Or is it going to take a while longer?

ON EDIT: I don't know anyone personally. Also changed subject from "voting for *" to "not voting for Kerry" since it essentially had the same effect.

1. Not yet, at least no one who will admit they made a mistake...

...that will come following the next big Bush induced disaster unless the Bushies I know have their heads totally up their arses!

7. I've seen no one bragging about their vote or even particularly gleeful

in having him re-elected. Over the Holiday, I spoke with 2 people I know who voted for Bush. When I asked why thay both said he's "strong on terror". When I asked them (seperately) if he should be accountable for not paying attention befopre 9/11/01, they both said...."how would he have known"? I think that proves to me that the typical Bush voter chooses his/her facts pretty selectively. They chose to believe, so they factor only information that supports their belief.

2. Some will but cognitive dissonance can be really

resistant in others. I swear * could drown puppies on national TV and most of his supporters would just say "Well he must have had a really good reason for doing it and at least you know where he STANDS on the drowning puppies!"

Also "He always does what he says he's going to do." That one amazes me. I've never seen a candidate who breaks campaign promises so quickly.

But by summer of 1974 you could hardly find anybody who would admit they voted for him. Likewise, sooner or later the stench arising from the Bush Reich will start to gag all but the most hard-core freepers.

...divided between "Hard Hats" for the Vietnam War and "Student Activists" who opposed the war. Demonstrations in the streets and Kent State National Guard murders of the students there and Nixon preaching, "We must have peace with honor" while he kept around the clock bombings from B-52 strato-fortresses killing thousands of civilians in Hanoi and insurgents in Cambodia. The American voters swallowed the flag waving lies from the Nixon administration hook, line and sinker. Hard core republicans never admitted that Nixon was ever wrong. Look what Gerald Ford did as soon as he became president, he gave Nixon a full presidential pardon!

This is why, when we indict George W Bush and all of his cronies they must be impeached, prosecuted, convicted and placed in federal prison for their crimes, so this will be a clear signal that real Americans will no longer put up with any phony patriot crap that leads to the murders of thousands of innocent people in the name of national security. We will also capture and convict terrorists, but we'll do that through the courts not using our military to fight illegal wars based on deception and lies.

Those who are intelligent and aware enough to realize what has been happening in the past month already voted for Kerry.

Those who were oblivious before the election and voted for Bush are still oblivious.

10. Not quite, sadly

Many intelligent folks agreed with those like Mike Moore who said that Kerry was the wrong candidate running the wrong campaign, they just said it before the election and voted for a third party in protest.

In some ways the re-election will make the elections in 2006 and 2008 that much easier for democrats 'cause things are just going to get worse and worse!
