I don't want to see Bush beaten...
Edited on Fri Sep-05-03 04:20 AM by Solon
I want to see him CRUSHED!!! I want to see "The Great Resident" screaming home to that shithouse he calls a ranch. I would love to see the apathetic realize that it is possible to change the system, and to tell the GOP to go straight to any and all hells imaginable. I would want to see the repukes relegated to the fringes where they belong, with our side gaining total victory. A 90% victory would give the GOP a message that NEVER again will they hold sway over our nation. THEY are the FRINGE, we the MAJORITY!

Dominate the language of debate, and discorse, and stimulate the non-voter into the polls, and that would be our chance. The Repugs have for too long defined what a liberal is, I say we need to define ourselves and shake off the chains they have shackled us with that hold us down. The issues are where we need to concentrate, the candidates will follow. To change the system, we need to truly represent the majority of Americans, for it is the apathetic who hold true sway over the nation, and would lead to its downfall if kept that way.

We need to reach out to them, for it is in them that the future of all our children are at stake. We need for them to see that their is a party for change, and change for the better, The Democratic Party. Fuck the Media, go to the people directly, all of us, Ambassadors to change. Convince one person to vote, and encourage them to spread the word.

Cheers.

2. Think about after we win majority in House, Senate and Presidency
We Dominate like they do now, and then they get sent to Prison, with a nice room "mate" with them 24/7.

I love the idea :)

ON EDIT: Making them "Unpersons" is excellent, considering we're already living in "1984".

6. those goons are welcome
To visit the scottish highlands. The tourism money they bring in for their stay here will be welcome, and sureley every penny drained away from REAL threats is a victory for all that is good... as bankruptcy will stop them where no political force could.

I hope the goons come in force. The local pub needs the business. ;-)

9. Don't want to throw water on
. . . yer little fantasy here, but Bush isn't beaten yet, and as far as I can see, is quite likely to win. Why?:

(in no particular order)

* The voting machines will be rigged
* He'll spend so much money no one will remember the Dem cadidate's name
* The peepul regard him as the legit preznit
* Most voters don't; those who do don't study the issues very closely -- but they do pick up the media buzz in the last few weeks
* He can arrange some "October surprise" to convert himself to a Popular Wartime whatever
* Lieberman might get the nomination

-- and besides that, let's not glory in the awful things we're going to do to them or pretend that if they lose this one they'll lay down and die. First of all, it's childish. And if it ain't it's ghoulish. And if it ain't that, it's arrogant. Avoid the sins of that you despise.

With regard to the Repugs, they may be un-American, but they fight back like Americans, and will have to be challenged at every turn for the forseeable future.

10. I know, its a nice dream.
However, despite the variables, there is no need to despair just yet. One thing I know, is that, unless he pulls a 180, he will fall, the reason is, if not the war, then the economy will bring him down. The chance that he will pull a win out of his ass is high IMHO. I doubt that even the most apathetic American will be fooled by that twice. If he pulls the same shit as before, then all bets are off. I attribute selection 2000 to two things, one is the false assumption of "It can't happen here" and plain and simple shock. But, unless the people are totally ignorant of it, he cannot pull it twice. Murphy's Law applies here, and it has never been proven wrong. I think he underestimates the people, and that will be his undoing, so is my hope.
