Tucker Carlson's & Ann Coulter's hateful remarks about Canada

I've just read the article by Bennet G. Kelley on the front page of DU....I appreciate his remarks and thank him for what he said..
I heard the condescending Carlson say all the things Kelley mentions....When he said Canada depends on the U.S.A. to defend us.....We say..."from whom?".....We have not gone around the world pissing people off...So, as far as I know, we don't have any enemies....I believe the last favour done, was by Canada....We took in, housed and looked after, over 30,000 stranded passengers from hundreds of diverted airplanes on 9/11/01.....Before that during your Iran hostage situation in the late 70's, Canada was the only country to take in American embassy personnel in it's Tehran, Iran embassy and we spirited them out of the country with fake Canadian passports....At a personal danger to our Ambassador, Ken Taylor, I might add.....The only reason I bring up these incidents (I'm sure you would have done the same for us) is because of the hateful words of Tucker Carlson and Ann Coulter....
P.S...I was flipping thru the channels the other night and discovered Carlson has his own program on PBS...and there he was...spewing his contempt for Canada again...Hmmmm...I wonder if he secretly wants to be a mountie or something...

We saw Margaret Carlson on some show, and he asked who she was. I told him her name and that she was Tucker Carlson's mother. "Really! I didn't know that!" I let him think it for a while before debunking. He's still talking about being fooled by that.

In WWI and WWII Canada was there first, in both cases it took the US a further 2 years to get on board and help defend her allies. Canadian soldiers were dying in Europe fighting Hitler while the US maintained nuetrality. I didn't really need to quote the part about the White House, I just wanted to. :party:

Those of us Americans who actually know history and have our eyes open know that Canada is a true friend of ours despite what the slobbering ignorant yahoos from the states who've never been outside of an upper class utopia safe from having to work for a living have to say.

who chose to become Canadian I was frequently asked about the war in Iraq before the fighting started and Bush was waiting for a decision from Canada, what I told people was 'If you have a friend with a drinking problem you don't demonstrate your friendship by having a drink with them.' Canada does care about America, and Americans (check out www.marryanamerican.ca ) but ultimately will not stand with even it's friends if what they are doing is wrong.

Canada stayed out of Veitnam too and not only stayed out of it, but welcomed Americans who also wanted to stay out of it (probably saving many of their lives.) There is virtually no chance now that Canada will join the US on SDI and we'll find out in January if Canada will let military deserters claim refugee status.

My mom's brother took his kid there for medical treatment that he could not get in upstate New York. From my study of the Michigan census, I know that there are alot of Americans with Canadian ancestry, and I am sure there are alot of Canadians with American ancestry, and not just former Tories.
Our countries have been good neighbors since after 1812, so I do not know what Tucker's problem is. Apparently, he cannot be pro-Bush without being against everyone else.
