I was just curious, cause at freeprepublic.com they now refer to themselves as freepers, and I thought it would pretty damn funny if we coined the phrase here and they just picked it up.

DUer sounds better, like we actually DO the things we talk about.
Kind of like we actually pratice what we preach.

rush listeners call themselves "dittoheads"
malloy listeners call themselves "truthseekers"

2. They coined it themselves |
|
They even had it posted with their own definition on their home page. I don't know if it's still there. I hate going to that site.

6. I always thought "freeper" sounded like... |
|
...a creepy little creature that scuttles back into dark corners when you turn the light on. Has elements of "freak" and "screecher," so that it's also a creature that squawks and screeches in a frantic flurry of loud noises that signify nothing.
It's a very fitting name.
