Infiltration continues from across the border: General Vij:

: Dehra Dun, Dec 10 : The Chief of the Army Staff, General NC Vij today said that infiltration attempts in to into Jammu and Kashmir continue from across the border despite such attempts being thwarted by the security forces.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the Passing Out Parade at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) here, General Vij said, that infiltration attempts by the militants despite taking place without any respite was still at its lowest level compared to last year.

"Infiltration from the other side is still continuing. However, these attempts are not successful. Infiltration is at its lowest as compared to previous years," said General Vij.

He further added that the Indian Army was at its "prime", and had practically halved the strength of terrorists and very soon would exterminate the remaining half.

"We have finished half of the terrorists. The remaining will also be finished," he added.
