Real men defend America bumper sticker
Stuck on a brand spanking new SUV along with a Bush/Cheney sticker. I felt like keying the monstrosity, but my husband wouldn't let me. It was in the parking lot where we went to dinner.

The Bush stickers seem to be multiplying and I live in a Blue state. I can't imagine what it must be like in red states.

1. The urge to key
I've had to fight it many a time and, luckily, have succeeded. Yeah, those bastard stickers are far too visible for my liking. I live in Los Angeles and one damn sticker is too much. Oh, and "Real mean defend America"? Then why isn't the mofo driving that SUV in Iraq "defending" America?

2. Why isn't the mofo driving that SUV in Iraq
That was my first thought. I live in a military area, but I don't think it belonged to an enlisted man. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see who drove away. This is the first time I've really had to fight the urge. The keys were right in my hand and I had to walk right by that SUV. I can still feel how satisfying it would have felt to run the keys along that shiny paint.

4. nonono no!
Never key a car, or steal lawn propaganda. That gives Republicans fuel to feel like righteous-victims and say 'look how horrible and disrespectful those Democrats are'.

Bush bumper stickers: It's as though they are taunting us and gloating "nyah nyah I picked the winner! My guy won the election! Democrats are looooozers!"

5. Oh, I didn't key it
Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 03:36 AM by ribrepin
But this is the first time I really had the urge. Mister "Real Men defend America" ought to be driving that shiny new SUV in Iraq with some fine HILLBILLY armour and his stupid bumper sticker.

7. Our "REAL" prez and "REAL" VP are draft dodgers
Tell 'em Bush, Cheney, and Limbaugh are all draft dodgers. The "Real" men went to war, while those crooks used daddy's influence to stay home and drink beer.

9. it sucks in the Red states!
I am in Oklahoma...it takes all my control not to run some of these cars off the fucking road! Especially the ones with "Al-Quida for Kerry" stickers! How about a new sticker..."Vietnam: The ONLY war Bush had an exit plan for!" Or, "BUSH -- Bullshitting Us Since Hanoi!"

10. Here in N CA there were virtually NO b?c stickers or signs
until the fraud re situated himself in the WH. Now I see 2-3 on a 15 minute trip - ashamed, are they.

One of these days I may follow one home and leave a 'bag-oburnin'' on his step (80% male)

Oh, Oh... I have a friend who 'works' at a WAY high class strip joint locally ( as an acct). Tracking back is easy, and 'what would their wives think'???!

12. anti-bush stickers?
what do you think of having anti-Bush stickers on your vehicle? Has anybody here been keyed for that? I have a great one that says "help stop mad cowboy disease" with a drawing of W. I haven't dared put it on because I'm afraid people might honk at me waving their fist, or do something worse.

alittlelark: LOL about snitching on the Republican strip club patrons!

16. uh, yeah, I know of NO ONE who has been keyed here.
Talk about a messed up line of reasoning.... People who would do such things are 'small scared souls'. They tend to be waaay low income and taking out grudges on those better off.

We are soooo far up in the hills that Courtney Love's Dad's (3wks away) dogs will getcha before the FBI does.

If you are rich you are immume......and that's sooo wrong....

Edited on Mon Dec-13-04 05:18 AM by 0rganism
or maybe just add a second sticker right below the original that says "IN THE MILITARY"

"Real men defend America IN THE MILITARY" -- kinda hard for them to argue with that...

19. Yeah, if I start seeing alot of "Real men defend America" bumper stickers
I might have to look into getting some "In the Military" stickers. I don't know how many times I'll be able to walk by and not do something.

I'm real glad I don't live in Oklahoma. I would probably would run someone off the road if I saw "Al-Quida for Kerry". My hat's off to the Red Staters.

21. The trick will be finding a custom sticker printer who uses cheap labels
A lot of the custom shops you find online these days standardized on some nice polypropelene and vinyl blends that remove fairly easily when you want them gone. This is not what you want. If you have a laser printer, you can probably use some cheap-ass large waterproof label stock from Avery, but don't waste your time with inkjet printing if you do it yourself. Go to Kinko's if all else fails, they may have something that works and a laserprinter to make them.

Because you want the sick fuck to be stuck scraping the glue off for hours when he removes the truth from his car.

30. I'd absolutely want Mister "Real Men defend America"
to spend hours and hours scraping my sticker off his bumper. Problem is he'd probably hunt me down. What kind of idiot puts inflammatory stickers on their brand new SUV. Someone not wrapped too tight I think.

Course I drive a 1992 Passat that gives me nothing but trouble. Oh wait, I think I'll cover my car in anti-bush stickers and collect the insurance. That's the ticket.

20. When you see those,
you should tape enlistment forms to the cars and leave notes that say "Real men put their money where their mouth is" or "Real men join up and fight for their country" or something like that.

Probably a bunch of armchair warriors who'd piss their pants if they ever found themselves in a real battlefield.

24. Need bumper stickers to respond with...
"I support US dependence on Middle East oil... and all wars to keep it flowing..." - or something along those lines - to be posted upon said bumper stickers...

Wonder if the driver (if male) realizes that his bumper sticker suggests that he isn't a real man, since he isn't off "defending America" in Iraq?
