I don't think so, but I think it would be pretty exciting if that were the real story.

Imagine this: Yuschenko was getting close in the polls so the other side murdered him. Rather than concede the election, they found a guy who looked a little like Yuschenko, but they knew they couldn't fool the public so they give him some crazy drug to make his appearance change, which also creates a little sympathy for him...

I should be writing Tin Foil Hat spy novels. So what if the screenwriters of Dave and Being There sued me for copyright infringement?

It's so reassuring to know that there's at least one person out there who's as...ahem...out there as I am sometimes. I've had the same kind of crazy thoughts. Only in mine I think that Yuschenko was murdered and the other side put up some guy pretending to be him (with a disfiguring illness) who will then infiltrate the opposition party. Nutty, I know.

8. No, I thought the same..when on another thread here someone posted photos

before and after "illness" of Yuschenko. While the different skin might be explained away by the result of illness, the hair is suddenly gray in 3 months (possibly from the trauma, but still...); BUT most importantly the eyes and energy of the two do NOT match. The earlier photos show a person of the 'people'...the second has a 'mean' energy (even considering his illness, there is a darkness there)... consistent with the type of leaders our Admin. has supported in other third world dictatorships.

Also in the earlier thread someone posted a comment that we should "google" Yuschenko's wife. I did, and found that she was originally an American, and worked in the State Dept. for some time during REAGAN Admin.; that she moved to USSR in mid-90's, I think. And met Yuschenko shortly afterward, and married him. Hmmmmm...

If that's true, then the U.S. "support" of Yuschenko (either the real one, or the "replaced" one)...is curious indeed. I read on another thread here that the U.S. had contributed $14 Million to the USSR campaign.
