It's probably that a)we ARE doing well in Iraq, we are!, or b)the economy IS turning around, it is!

Maybe to say we're asking the UN to help in Iraq? David Kay's report?

6. Will the tough, cod-piece wearing macho man show up on Sunday,
or with the compassionate conservative be on our TV screens?

They must be feeling the heat for bush* to come out on a Sunday night to talk to the 'murkin people.

12. Sept 11 is this Thursday and
NBC does NOT like to interrupt their Must See TV for ole Bushy boy. I am sure he will be selling "new product."

Hmmmmm could the US be preparing to attack Iran? Syria? What other country has been brought to its knees and can't really fight back? He sure wont go after North Korea.

What is going to happen this weekend?

13. this is scary
Pretty sad for FEAR to be my first reaction to hearing that the President of my country will be giving a speech on TV.

I'd tune in if his opening lines were: "Wow, I guess I am the worst president in American history. Have y'all been reading the news lately? I suck!"

28. Yeah, you're right.
Like cornered rabid animals. I just wonder what this is meant to distract us from? CNN saying right now that the pRes felt this was a good time to update the American people on what is going on in Iraq. They are also saying that this is going out world-wide because he wants the world to see what we are doing in Iraq.

are whistling past the graveyard. I'm not saying Bush will lose but I'm beginning to believe he can be beaten in 2004. Approval ratings in the low 50s (and dropping) are not healthy at all.

Accordingly, I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term as your President.

If things keep going so swimmingly in Iraq we may still hear this.

But looks to me like they're reacting to all the calls from both sides to talk to the American people. Course it will all be one big lie.

Which I want to do anyway....since hearing Brian Williams say that "France is giving the US trouble" last night ...is that reporting or editorializing?? P.S. Brian--you bet they'r giving us trouble over our UN overtures....all we want is their money and bodies of their soldiers, and no say or cut of the oil, you JACKASSSSS!

Ah, the poor bushbaby's slavish followers are starting to slip out of their collars and leashes. Time to refresh the indoctrination.

Repeat after me:

Don't listen to all that stuff about Saudi Arabia and Ground Zero that have sneaked under the fence to confuse our grateful citizens.

Saddam Bad

Gassed his own people

Iraq a virtual Eden compared to under Saddam

Progress being made on all fronts

Blah Blah Blah

We will prevail.

37. Ooo! Ooo!
This is a long shot, but I'm throwing in a couple of chips for an even better diversion, something like "we've just discovered frightening evidence of Al Qaeda in South America!"

The recent Saudi-Russian oil deal means the Fuehrer needs to secure more oil, since Iraq isn't cutting it and we have greatly decreasing leverage with the Saudis. For some time now they've been floating a trial balloon about an alleged Venezuelan connection to Al Qaeda, and Venezuela is one of our biggest oil suppliers. Another of what may be a new trial balloon popped up in the last few days about that strange bomb device in the Pizza robbery. The police said the only place they've seen anything else like this was in use by terrorists in Columbia, another place in which BushCo. has its tentacles. Yeah, they'll eventually get around to planting evidence about WMD, but if it comes up as "in other news today, evidence for WMD was found" by Bush's advertising agencies, think of me :)
