The media whores are giving him a tongue lashing about the snide comments he made over a week ago. Bill KKKristol, John McCain and others are calling him on the carpet. Bush, as always, has remained silent--I guess "the White House" will issue another official statement on it.

It seems that they don't think the "elections" in January are going to go very well. It seems they are setting up Rummy as a scapegoat for Messopotamia.

It couldn't happen to a better (that means worse in RW land) person.

I love how Trent Lott is like "he should be listening to his officers." Um yes, he should. But last time I checked, Bush's alternate title was Commander-in-Chief. Perhaps he should also do a little listening.

I think Rummy will simply quit within a short time. He's got lots of $$, he's over 70 years old, and I doubt his ego really wants to endure all the criticism from people on his own side.

The biggest problem is that Wolfowitz would probably succeed him, and I think that would be worse.

I'm just pissed off that the buck is stopping on his desk. It's like Bush isn't the least bit responsible for any of it. By scapegoat I mean that he is taking all of the blame when in reality he should be sharing it with others in the administration...Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rice, etc.

As I said, I have absolutely no problem with him being called to the carpet, I merely wish that ALL of those responsible were receiving the same treatment.
