I have just registered with Volunteers for Change...I love what I see happening here!! I wanted to share another World Peace Initiative that is also occurring in present time, and invite anyone who reads this to share in this journey....

This season the Oprah Winfrey Show is running a series called "Oprah's Wildest Dreams Come True"...The University of Light & Creativity/Universal Voices has recently submitted a collective dream to Oprah...The dream - to post billboards on every major highway in the United States that say...

"WORLD PEACE & HARMONY BEGINS WITH ONE PERSON... YOU!"

Imagine the potential of this message being portrayed all across our country .... Imagine how this simple message could ripple out to touch our entire global community...World Peace IS possible...We have the ability to make this dream a reality! We know that many voices coming together make ONE powerful voice - WE ARE MANY AND WE ARE ONE!

I wish she would run for President on the Democratic Ticket.

Some thought that her support of Arnold indicated that she was supporting his party.

Other than that, I know of nothing to indicate that she is not a Democrat.

Sure hope she will one day come out and say it.

14. I agree. I think Oprah does what

she can. She is only one woman and can't take on the entire world. But she could make this happen if it's not too politically sensitive for her.
As for Arnold, she's apparently good friends w/Maria, so I imagine that's why she gave him some air time. I don't think she expressed her political opinion on that election at all.

There is a comment section on that site. I sent this message, maybe Oprah will get it!

You know, I want World Peace just as much as Oprah, but Oprah should start by realizing this country is under seige by the current administration. Oprah is a powerful voice for peace AND JUSTICE. I would like to see her show American media, that SHE will not cover-up the elction fraud of the past two elections and let America sink into oblivion as the once great nation "under God." I wish world peace was as simple as wishing it so, but if that were the case the world would not be in such a terrible mess. Did Oprah's vote count?

mix the issues. But, hey every little bit we can do to show her that she might have an audience for truth - and for peace, can't hurt.

She is speaking to whom she believes her audience is. This is one opportunity to show her that she might have just as big an audience for other "values."

11. Oprah tries to be apolitical.. and whether her vote counted or not

she's still a billionairess.. If she lost HALF her empire, she would still be a billionnairess..

Money and power transcend all former slights in life..

You know what they say,.,The best "revenge" is to live well and prosper..

Oprah could have done shows about voting and about electronic voting machines ...and she should have.. MONTHS before the election, but she thrives because she stays away from the really divisive stuff..

Her show is a "feel-good" show, and I don't see her dipping her pedicured toesies into the deep , turbulent waters of political issues..

12. You're right and I am sick of it!

Oprah says she knew she was destined for "greatness." Apparently greatness to her is helping only those she deems worthy. She doesn't seem to give a damn that African American voters are disenfranchised by the millions in this country! Her "pet projects" drive me nuts. While I'm sure the recipients all appreciate her genorousity, I wonder how many of them worry about how they are going to create World Peace when they have to work themselves into the grave to pay their bills? Tell me, what good does it do to provide people with houses if their votes won't count when they go to the polls to participate in election issues that will effect their finances? Too many parents in this country, including the ones she builds these houses for, are leaving their children at home alone most of the day while working 2 or 3 jobs to pay for food, housing, and energy costs! In order to help children and create peace in this world you need to start from the top down. As long as our government and the corporations that elect them into office are the ONLY ones benifiting in society, World Peace is a pipe dream! Oprah should be concentrating her efforts on fixing societies ails and then she can concentrate on World Peace! I used to watch her show years ago, but I have seen a serious trend of her show to IGNORE the system that created the problems of people needing her help! Even Oprah's billions can't help all the needy people in the world, and we all know she has no intention of helping ALL the needy people in the world anyway. She needs those billions to show herself she has accomplished something! Oprah isn't Mother Theresa and her method is very backward as far as I'm concerned.

There's no difference between her and anyone else who has "made it", they talk the talk but don't walk the walk.

I will give her this, she's one of the greatest bullshitters of all time, She's right up there with Dan Blather, Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Michael Savage and Rush!
