2. I used to hate the Nuns that came to our school

to teach religion to the catholic kids..They were all violent b...s!
One hit me on the head and I told her,she couldn't hit me cause I wasn't catholic!That was in second grade and it became one of those family stories that made me a 'hero' to all my cousins.:-)

the priests sexually assault, the nuns physically assault.

I was physically assaulted by a nun when I was a 6 yr old first grader just because I could read and the rest of the class couldn't... I was 2 pages ahead in the story because the kids were reading so damn slow and when she called on me, I didn't know the place, so she took the book and hit me on the top of my head. About 2 weeks later, she was replaced with a much nicer nun.

Her name was Sister Alice Marie, CSJ and I hope she's burning in hell right now.

5. She sounds like a throwback to

the Attilla the Nuns of the 50's and 60's. My 54-year-old husband suffered under their reign of terror as a schoolkid, and I honestly think he still bears the mental scars.

I lasted one week as a first grader at a Catholic school in 1958. Came home and told my parents I hated the mean nun and to get me out of there. Back at public school the next week where the teacher was kind and compassionate. Never looked back.

Things have sure changed since I went to grade school...if a nun hit me, then the priest would hit me, and then my parents would hit me, assuming I'd done something wrong!
