Plausible Deniability and Classified Information. |

I am not sure when these two pernicious doctrines were accepted as normal, everyday practices in American Government but they seem to have all but obliterated any sense of transparency in our public affairs. We are now forced to assume a great deal of actvities committed by our rulers which come to light maybe once in five decades and whatever we assumed usually pales in comparison to what is revealed. In the meantime those who suspect things are bad in Denmark are reviled as Conspiracy Theorists.

and the muzzling of releasing prior administrations data, who needs plausibility. Just keep everything secret and you can keep on telling the big lie.
