1. Perle was on NPR this morning, defending Rumsfeld. His whole |

defense was that Rumsfeld has worked hard to change the culture of the military to better prepare it for the type of wars we're likely to fight. The whole discussion was a digression from the actual criticisms of Rumsfeld's leadership. Of course, NPR made no attempt to ask any pertinent questions about issues like Abu Ghraib, or the fact that the troops are so ill-equiped. They just let him spout his nonsense.

I'll give Chris Jansing her due, I thought she was not the usual pushover interviewer with softball questions. Just such a short interview wasn't worth the watch.
