I'm not one to do New Years resolutions and given that this is something I've been implementing over the last few weeks, maybe I can slide by without calling this a New Year's resolution but it is a firm resolution. I've decided that since my vote didn't count, I'm going to vote every day with my wallet and my wallet is going blue. I'm also going to be sending letters to companies I'm leaving and the ones I'm joining to let them know why my dollars are going where they are going.
Anybody else out there doing this? It does take a bit of research to make sure the numbers are right and the change of habit is a little bit disconcerting but I'm sure that's pretty short term.

Of course, that won't be a change for me. I have Celiac Sprue so I do all of my grocery shopping at the co-op and at Whole Foods.

I thought it was going to be hard with Christmas but it was actually pretty easy and fun, too. I found that I was a lot more creative with my gift giving and discovered some places in my community that I didn't even know existed. It was an adventure.
