A caller couldn't understand why he hasn't been able to "turn" his moderate wife into the fold.

Rush says "Well first of all you are the worst person to do this. You are the husband"

Apparently this man's wife is taking courses at college. Rush explained that these professors of hers are introducing her to new ideas that she has never heard before and it could be "seductive". AS faulty as these new ideas might be they are new to her.

Just about sums it up for me! I get furious over right-wing nut-jobs, but when I stop to think about why, it's not because they say and do such stupid things, but because no matter what I say or do they will not listen to me or respect my opinions.
