Funny thing over at FR -- Freepers looking like fools!

These idiots have a thread about Code Pink, Global Exchange and Families for Peace giving $600K in humanitarian aid to the Fallujah residents and how Medea Benjamin was guilty of treason and should be prosecuted. In post #12 they posted a picture of Medea Benjamin and arrogantly added the words "Used without permission". The posted comment said, "Here's our girl. She's a Wells College graduate." The picture was linked from the basetree.com website.

I sent an email to the contact at basetree pointing out to them that the pic was being used on FR and about the arrogant comment about "used without permission". I got an email back saying the problem had been taken care of and to check the FR thread again. What I found was absolutely hilarious. Basetree.com had swapped the pic of Medea Benjamin with one of Mopaul's frightening photoshops of Anthrax Coulter!

The post has been bumped to the top again at least 15 times since then and NO ONE has noticed it! All this was started around 2 p.m. today Central Time. What a bunch of idiots! We've been sitting back laughing our asses off at these fools all day! What a bunch of morans!

The San Francisco Chronicle today gave us a gushing front-page profile of Susie "Medea" Benjamin, a founder of lunatic-fringe temper-tantrum group Global Exchange, and by profession a full-time Useful Idiot on behalf of Fidel Castro, Saddam Hussein, Mullah Omar, etc.

The article was a puff piece timed for the anti-America, pro-Saddam riots that Benjamin helped organize today. Headline: "S.F. woman's relentless march for peace". In typical fashion, the Chronicle portrayed Benjamin as a noble activist, and didn't bother to ask her any difficult questions, such as "If we don't go to war against Iraq, how would you prevent Saddam Hussein from getting nuclear weapons, or does that scenario not bother you?" or "What would you have to say for yourself if we do leave Saddam Hussein in power and he goes on to kill several hundred thousand more people?"

The story does reveal a number of interesting items from Benjamin's background. For example, she earned a master's degree in economics (but apparently didn't pay attention in class). She visited Cuba once:

at first, Cuba's comparative social equality "made it seem like I died and went to heaven." Then she bumped into the limitations of free speech while working at a Communist-run newspaper; she was deported after daring to write an anti-government article.

The thing is, Medea Benjamin, Fonda, and all the others they love to hate are far more pro-American and patriotic than they are or ever will be. They have no idea of what being patriotic and pro-American really is. The founding fathers did, however, and they were extremely wary of people like the freeps and their ilk.

I happen to think that a president who deliberately lies about the reasons for going to war, who exploits a tragedy to promote his own agenda, and who subsequently attacks a country that had not attacked us and that was no danger to us, and that wasn't responsible for 9/11, causing the deaths of over a thousand American soldiers and the wounding of thousands more, as well as the deaths of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians, and who refuses to see the damage he's doing to our country and our relationships with other countries, is guilty of treason. But hey, maybe that's just me.

Think of this analogy:

You have a Green family that lives next door to an Red family, that live across the street from a Purple family, which neighbors a nice Blue family. The Purple Family plants a shitbomb on the Red family's front doorstep. The Red family already hates the Green family, so they quite recklessly march over to the Green family's house and begin beating the shit out of the mother and father. But, they don't stop there. In case you missed it: Blue = Code Pink, Green = Iraq, Purple = Al Qaeda and Red = Bush Imperialism (oh, and bag of dog shit = "Free Republic).

How much more insane can the freepers get? That thread should be copied, as it is a snapshot of the larger problem. They had branded his father as a traitor and had the most vile thread about people who had signed an ANSWER petition against the war in which they were gloating about their reports of Traitors to Homeland Security, the military (for the military members) and to employers. Some posts were removed afterwards but even now there are still 462 frenzied, hateful, posts in that thread. They couldn't turn in people fast enough yet are stunned when people compare them to Nazis. You can only pray God have mercy on such people.

After Berg was decapitated and that thread found, they wrung their hands about how their hateful activities had nothing to do with his strange detention by US authorities in Iraq and sudden, bizarre decapitation at the hands of "terrorists" while dressed in a prison orange jumpsuit.

Nick's father still can't get answers from the government about what really happened to his son.

You would think the freepers would learn to cool down their hate & vile activities. But that would be asking too much it seems.

The photo in question was lifted from my website (http://www.basetree.com/>www.basetree.com. Here is the Anthrax Coulter photo that I replaced it with:



The "used without permission" statement actually wasn't put there by the freepers. My web server adds this automatically when people use my photos without permission. (Bizarrely, none of the freepers seemed to notice the added statement.) In any case, I could "replace" the photo since it was a direct link to my website.

No one noticed the replacement for an hour or so, and the disparaging comments were redirected from Medea to "Scary" Ann. Apparently someone finally figured out what was going on and removed the thread. Another thread was started here, though:
