With The 2 shrubs and Clinton meeting in the WH yesterday about tsunami aid, he wondered where Jimmy Carter was? I had an immediate response of "he probably told shrub to pound salt". After Carter's speech (an uncharacteristic one) at the DNC convention, I think Mr. Carter doesn't think much of shrub. It must frost his butt to watch George the pretender Christian ruin our country's reputation.

I say good for Carter for refusing to be used by this administration. And why the hell is Clinton working with them?

Im sure that I heard someone say that there is, in which case Clinton cant get that job.

Although there is no rule against security council nation's citizens becoming Secretary General, a protocall of geographical rotation suggests that the next SG is likely to be from Asia.

is a Jewish prayer that is said during the mourning period. People come to the house of the person that has died and stay for hours (sometimes days). All the mirrors are covered. Friends and neighbors bring food so the family doesn't have to handle that during the mourning period. Some rearlly conservative Jews even wear torn clothing. When one of my Jewish relatives died we were given small pieces of torn cloth to attach to our clothes.

On another point: President Carter is one of the finest men that has ever been president. He is a true Christian. I guess I am one of the few people that will admit that I even voted for him in 1980 during the election. I would still vote for him now even though Reagan won by a landslide.

Former Presidents Carter and Clinton are superstars all over the world. Former President George Bush is not.

He was on a UK panel game just before the 2004 election. Ian Hislop asked him (referring to Kerry): "But aren't you looking forward to having a president with a three-digit IQ?"

PJOR said: "Nah, we tried that with Carter. It didn't work out. We're a two-digit IQ kinda country."

Not very nice to skip Clinton like that, since WJC was brainier than brain soup, but funny.

Carter was an amazing President, though. A brilliant man. Not a great politician, in some ways, but a wonderful man. A Carter second term is one of the most appetising "what-ifs" there is.

- in Florida but in the Central Time Zone Area - the election had been called for Reagan. I still voted for Carter - a man who led with the Declaration Of Independence rather than the Monroe Doctrine.

I also voted for Carter, and would do so again with pleasure. My respect for President Carter increases every time I hear something about him.

If Reagan had not undone most of President Carters energy policies, we would not be in some of the messes we are now in. Our dependence on oil would have been severely diminished. With very little research on alternative energy being done now, we are more than 25 years behind where we could have been under Carter's plans.

I am an agnostic, but I can appreciate a true Christian, and that is what Carter is.
