Since I've only seen her on t.v. "debates" where the format conspires to keep her somewhat on topic and have never read her unfettered Nazi stuff, this was actually a shock. I knew she was bad, but didn't grok HOW bad. What's worse, her diarrhea of the mouth or this writer saying she looks BEAUTIFUL. The Observer is CONASON's home port, but he says his wingnut bosses don't interfere with his writing.

10. I Disagree. She Is Not Irrelevant

Ann Coulter is hardly irrelevant. She is wildly popular among the very people who are running our country. She is regarded as one of the nation's leading political "thinkers". Look at how quick Republicans are to snatch up every book she comes out with. Ann Coulter is the shrill voice of the Republican party, putting the thoughts of each and every Republican into words. The thing is, she IS totally ridiculous.

Ann Coulter proclaims that the Middle East is George Bush's "bitch" while a hand full of lightly armed insurgents have fought the self-proclaimed most powerful military ever to a standstill. Note to future military strategists; the biggest hammer you can find will not do you any good when the proper tool for the job is a screw driver. I disagree with Ann in regards to who the "bitch" is in this situation.

The swagger of Ann Coulter, as she talks about nuking North Korea, is that of the entire Republican party. They talk tough but are actually cowards. The use of nuclear weapons against North Korea is something that would be of great concern to China and the Republicans are not about to anger the Chinese.

Even more ridiculous is the issue of Osama Bin Laden, who sits nice and safe, inside Pakistan. George Bush vowed to pursue terrorists wherever they are hiding but sits frozen with fear at the Pakistani border. I guess Pakistan's handful of nuclear weapons are enough to give pause to even the most swaggering of Republicans.
