Will We get PNAC plan Phase 3 tonite?
Phase one was to develop a plan for middle east domination and US imperialism.
Phase 2 was to find an event or reason to begin implementation.

The final phase is to confront US citizens with a choice- we can have national security, or we can have Social Security/Medicare/Welfare, but not both.

Tonite, if Bush* appears confrontational, trying to hold the UN responsible for our fate, then I can think of no other answer. If he says stuff like "the fate of the worlds economy depends on the decisions the UN will take in the next few days", or " it is time for the other countries in the world to fulfill their obligations to peace and stability", then we can be sure that they are sticking to the plan and not taking any blame for the mess we are in. They will blame anybody and everybody except themselves. Soon, virtually all social program funding will evaporate.

If, on the other hand, he appears willing to accept whatever conditions the UN chooses in order to help get us out of Iraq, then I will consider that an admission of failure, and life as we know it will be saved for another day.

But has Bush* ever, even once, shown conciliation, admitted a mistake, or taken responsibility for anything negative? The papers this morning are full of words like 'conciliatory", and "u-turn". I'll believe it when I see it.

2. Rummy is delusional.
They are losing it. In total disarray. There is new BS every 10 minutes.
Look at these snips from an AJC story this morning;

"Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld said Saturday that Iraqis have to stop blaming U.S.-led forces for not stopping violence in their country and take responsibility for their own security."

"Rumsfeld said Iraqis should provide intelligence to U.S. forces "to a greater extent than they have been doing."

"Officials of the U.S.-led administration acknowledge that international law holds the occupying power responsible for security in a captured country. They have also said repeatedly that Iraqis have been coming forward in large numbers with tips on crime and insurgent actions, despite the dangers they often face from retribution."

"As the situation in the country remains unstable four months after President Bush declared the end of major military operations, U.S. officials are walking a fine line on the issue of troop strength."

"They say no more U.S. troops are needed but that they welcome international troops. The top U.S. military commander in Iraq, Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez, said last week that he did not have enough troops for security threats that are "looming in the future."

"But Saturday, at Rumsfeld's side, Sanchez said he did have enough troops to handle current attacks on U.S. forces."

"Rumsfeld did say that there was a need for more civilians to aid the coalition -- possibly a reference to intelligence work."

"Facing questions about an apparent influx of foreign Arab extremists into the country, Sanchez said this week that intelligence work has gone slowly because more interrogators and translators were needed."

"He said the situation has been complicated in part because the Iraqi army folded without putting up much of a fight -- as U.S. forces had urged."
