Just emailed her the following letter:
Senator Boxer:
I am not a constitutent of yours, but I write to you today with a grateful heart for your outstanding support of the objection to the certification of Ohio's electoral votes.
As Democrats, we must decide if we are a Party that will just give lip service to voting rights, or if we will be the Party that will put political expediency and cowardice aside, and truly fight for the rights of voters.
By your courageous actions today, you showed what side you are on, and I thank you.
As a tax paying, disenfranchised resident of the District of Columbia, with no adequate representation in the Congress, voting rights is near and dear to my heart. And my heart was saddened by the stories of my fellow African-Americans waiting in line for well over 4, 6 and 10 hours to vote, with some giving up in disgust. That is nothing short of voter suppression, and it is unacceptable.
I thank you for standing up for free and fair elections, and for voting rights. I thank you for not just paying lip service to these issues, but for putting those values into action when the rubber met the road.
God Bless You!
