On top of the human and financial costs of the war in Iraq, the Bush administration's foreign policy may be costing U.S. corporations business overseas, according to a new survey of 8,000 international consumers released this week by the Seattle-based Global Market Insite (GMI) Inc.

8. it is the peaceful way to stop the machine.

make it run out of gas instead of run at it with a wrench and hammer. our tactic will work, the others... the machine might be in too full swing to effectively stop it. but once it's out of gas we can completely disassemble it with wrench and hammer at our leisure.

a thousand different approaches to attack the machine, eventually it will die. its days are now numbered for many people are now aware who's the real enemy.

4. They speak of 20 percent boycotting in the article. I do not have other

numbers - but just looking at my family, friends and acquaintances I'd say 20 percent may be too high. However those that DO boycott US-brands probably do the same as me - keep telling others and try winning them over to do the same. We have to get them where it hurts them and that will be money every time.

6. I agree. The 8,000 surveyed may have been activists

and so they tended to already be involved with the boycotts.

The corporate sales and marketing people have sounded an alarm so it's already making an impact, even if it's small.

The good thing is that is it has started and will continue.

Here in Canada, my husband and I overheard more than 1 person asking sales staff if they had a particular product made in Canada vs the U.S

That's very unusual here. A sure sign of the times.

12. Somehow I can't feel any sympathy for the corporations

losing business. It was most of them that helped put Dumbya in office. Now they are reaping the rewards of their support of the GOP and him. I do feel bad about the people who stand to lose their jobs do to layoffs. Too bad.
