I was listening to Ring of Fire and the guest mentioned the belief that some people have that Jews are trying to take over the world. Does anyone think that some white people who wanted to take over the world decided to put out the rumor that Jews wanted to take over the world so that people would be concerned with keeping Jews from taking over the world and not pay attention to the people who are actually trying to take over the world?

6. The original "Jewish world consipracy"

was called "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" and was published by the Russian Tsarist government in 1878. In the Protocols, the Jews supposedly lay out their plan to dominate the world through banks and commercial schemes, all the while destroying Christianity. Supposedly it was some super-secret manifesto that the secret police got their hands on, but in reality it was just a forgery used by the Tsar to justify the Russian government's repression of Jews. That was the first time anyone alleged that Jews around the world were working together to undermine their home nations' governments and create a new world order with Jews in charge.

If you look on the internet, you can still find it out there. Believe it or not some people still believe that it's true, or use it to convince other people who don't know any better to be anti-Semites.

We know that we've been used as scapegoats for centuries, and in at other times have been used as a distraction from the real malignant forces. Hitler combined both and the result was the holocaust.

The Russian secret police invented the Protocols of Zion in the 1880s not specifically to attack the Jewish people, but as a tool with which they could control the peasantry, as a way of forestalling the coming revolution, which came in 1905 anyway. They were whipping up social and religious hatred among the people to preserve their own power base. (Sound familiar?) Plus, its a relatively old idea, during the Plague, Jews were blamed, so that many nations of the time could keep there power structure, even though a third of Europe was dead at the time. Entire Jewish villages were burnt to the ground, with the citizens in it. This was fostered by two beliefs that the Christians of Europe had about Jews, the first was that they were killers of Christ, and the second was that Christians, by law, could not loan to people with interest. Jews on the other hand weren't restricted in that manner, and were also far better educated and healthier than there Christian counterparts. This lead to resentment and hatred that is felt all the way to this day.

Anti-Semitism of this sort is about a thousand years old, possibly earlier than that. Our more modern form of Anti-Semitism can be traced back to the secret service of the Czar of Russia in the late 19th century. They created a book called "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" which was supposed to lay blame for Russia's problems at Jewish feet. It was supposedly the secret guidebook for Jews to take over the world, basically. It spread rapidly, and its greatest propronents were men of rich means, but little character, such as Henry Ford, author of "The International Jew" and the president of GM who wrote "America and the New World Order" which, if examined next to "Mein Kampf" would seem to be point by point almost identical in ideas, even if the countries are different.

There have been bursts, so to speak, of Anti-Semitism throughout much of western history. Many times, this is during times of great suffering for everyone, and Jews were easy prey to scapegoat. They were a minority that no one liked, similar to the Roma or Homosexuals, who were also sent to Hitler's Chambers. So I would say, Anti-Semitism is usually used to keep the "rabble" in line by making them be above someone else who is almost defenseless, and so they would not think too much about there own station in life, and not realize that the ones in power are the ones who truly keep them down.

Rather it was after reading The Protocols of the Elders of Zion that Hitler for the first time wrote in his notebook March 1921: struggle against Bolshevism in Russia means the eradication (Ausrottung) of the Jews.

Significantly the Protocols had been brought to Germany at the end of WWI when German military personnel retreating from the Ukraine around the turn of the year 1918/1919, brought with them thousands of sympathetic White officers, including several who went on to serve the National Socialist cause in high-profile capacities. As explained in a seminar three years ago, once translated into German. the Protocols greatly influenced postwar voelkisch German circles in general and the fledgling National Socialist movement in particular. providing an important source of -evidence" of alleged conspiratorial Jewish strivings for world domination.

“Union of the Russian People” leadership had tended quite early towards a pro-German stance, largely due to Imperial Russia's continuing rivalry with Great Britain in Central Asia. In May 1914, “Union of the Russian People” faction leader Nikolai Markov II asserted in the Duma that a "small alliance with Germany" proved superior to a "great friendship with England. The majority of rightist monarchists in Imperial Russia favored a German-Russian alliance along the lines he proposed.
