I'm watching the DNC now

and there are a couple I like: Dean and Webb

Both said that the Red State local governments need to be supported, that the money was short in support of Mayors, Governors, and other elected officials and they were right...Look how important that is, by using Blackwell as an example...if Ohio had a Democratic Secretary of State we would have had a chance of a legit election...

Roemer just seems like another Terry M. Martin Frost had a few good things to say, but is a bit staid, don't know how he'd be able to keep up with new technologies to use. Fowler was not extemporaneous enough, seemed to read his remarks...

1. I saw it too, the last half anyway

I still like Dean, because above all the chair has to be able to deliver a clear message on tv, and he can do it with conviction. He's very articulate. The others weren't as much so: some rambled too much, some were awkward, not poised. Dean was on message and sounded very determined and very sincere, and we need that desperately.

2. I was impressed by Fowler. We need someone to focus on the

science of winning election strategies. Does anyone know the pros and cons of this guy?

4. He got some scandals popping up

I think he has he grassroots experience but he is not beloved in the blogoshere. Check out MyDD, Kos and Atrios - one of the 3 called him a flaming pile of dog poop (not sure why exactly).

In the DNC thing I thought he was trying to be too cute by half - trying too hard to be a Southerner. One remark was he was the only candidate up on the podium "without an accent", and there were several others.

If scandals are coming out now about him, he needs to withdraw. We do not need the new DNC chair who has to defend himself, we need a chair who can focus all their energy on building and reforming the party.

3. Roemer's monologue with Stephanopoulos is a warning..

he never stopped for questions, only pausing when told to. Tim never challenged the Bush administration on the Iraqi war, tax cuts, or morality. Every time Stephanopoulos tried to ask a question, Roemer would force George to interrupt his preplanned statement.

Why should someone that opposed Clinton's balanced budgets, supports the war in Iraq, and favors criminalizing abortion head the DNC? Republican voters are divided on each of these issues..but Democratic voters are united in opposition to the Iraqi war, tax cuts for the rich, and imprisoning all who had an abortion. :shrug:
