OMG...FOXNews just said F9/11 won PC award b/c MM stuffed the ballot box
It won Best Movie at the Peoples' Choice Awards last night.
I saw Moore on the screen, so I took my TV off mute(I've got 2) and I forget this guy's name, but he's on every morning, was saying something about "word has it" and something posted on MM's website that stuffed the ballot? I didn't really hear it all b/c I couldn't find the remote to my other TV that was on, but I was waiting for him to laugh or something b/c I figured it was a joke, but he was dead serious......

In related news: "Exit polls Say Abbas Winner"

In other related news: "Exit Polls Give Yushchenko the Presidency"

1. I knew they couldn't accept it
They had to fabricate something. They have absolutely no shame. All we need to do now is figure out which Fox broadcasters are on the same payroll Armstrong is.

6. Well, "If word has it"..................
it MUST be true. Who or what is this "word" they speak of, and where did it or he, get "it"?And just what is "it"? Can anyone get "it", or only "word"?
I'm sure FUX's crack news staff would have the answers to these questions. "It" will in all likelihood be explained on the "factor" tonight by the illustrious Mr. O'Reilly.

12. "Crack news staff" is an apt phrase --
since they just pull it out of their cracks. Either that, or they write their copy while smoking crack. They certainly don't get off their butts to do any real journalism, at any rate.

28. FOX also uses "People say..."
to give legitimacy to some biased asinine statement.

Was it that Ass-man? He's on in the mornings.

30. Watch 'Outfoxed"
In it there is revelation and proof of this methodology.

The phrase 'some people say" is used up I guess. Time to switch to "word has it".

2. At least it's not Sky News (Australia)...
they're only mentioning "The Passion" in their headlines, whilst trying to pretend that F9/11 doesn't exist.

4. Fox had nasty comments last night also--whinning about the Passion
not winning. It was typical but you can see that when people listen constantly to Fox--they sound like Fox.

8. In a light hearted note............
my local video store REALLY stocked up on "The Passion" in
anticipation of record sales and rentals. There must have been 70 copies if there was 1. They never moved. I kept checking most days to see how they were moving.........nada.
Of course I live in one of those godless Blue States, but I thought there would be enough evangelicals around to sweep them off the racks. Zilch. They're trying to sell them for $7.99 now and they still can't get rid of them.
This movie was a hit only to a thin minority of people in our country. A VERY vocal thin minority, but a hollow drum makes the most noise.
FUX and the rest of the god squad can't understand that it had limited appeal and wasn't worthy of a PC award,

There's a wall full of "Passions". They rented for one day and then immediately started gathering dust.

10. They (Faux News) hate when Democracy works.
The "people" voted, Moore won and Gibson didn't (he won best drama). Faux News, GET OVER IT! THIS is how it works when you don't have fraud. The REAL winner wins. Go figure. :eyes: Too bad the RW Religious wackos haven't infiltrated the movie industry...yet.

I was somewhat perplexed by the standing O Gibson received. I just loved how he smacked down the very industry who made him a millionaire and made it possible for him to be on that stage. Slimeball. Now we get to listen to the Falwell's of the world talk about how wonderful that movie is...again. Gibson = Boycott List.

I was hoping Hollywood would send the RW Religious wackos a message like we won't let you destroy our Democracy and turn us into a Theocracy, but instead they stood and applauded the very movie that helped further their agenda? Such is life in modern day America. :(

11. Its a people's choice award. That means people vote for it. If MM asked
people to vote for it and provided a link where they could go vote whats the problem? Not long enough lines?

17. Exactly
And the email I got specifically mentioned that folks needed to vote against F911. I saw efforts to stuff for Passion, before I saw anything for F911. I guess Diebold didn't run the voting machines for the People's Choice.

15. Will the Right EVER be satisfied???
They are both sore winners and sore losers.

Mom should have taught them better manners.

For example, last December we had an election here in my home town, a referendum on public school spending which would raise property taxes.

The rich in town (and from out of town who don't live here but own a lot of property here) spent GOBS of money trying to convince the rest of us that it was to our benefit to (basically) let our public school crumble and start to bus our kids to a neighboring town's larger school.

We voted to raise our taxes and save our school!

But, at least HERE after the election, the opposition was very gracious, and said they gave it a good try, etc., but the people have spoken, etc. etc.

I only wish I live long enough to see our nation change to a more civil discourse.

24. Love your references in your post to "In other related News" re Exit Polls
On the topic of MM and F/911, so what if he sent out an email and asked his supporters to support and vote for pca awards? Do people think other films and their producers, sponsors etc. don't do the same either through stepping up advertising or contacting their database? Please....that's the most ridiculous statement that Fox could say...

Re. your "In Related News" comments: I have been struck lately about either news headlines or comments on TV or Radio that say: "Exit Polls in Ukraine show that there were irregularities, thus a revote is being called for" -or- "Exit polls show Abbas wins the Palestinian Presidency"....

Hmmmm...how come even in our past elections the exit polls are referred to and in this one, there is now almost no reference and the "irregularities" are explained away and made to be no biggie....:eyes:
