Now I don't live in California and I don't care about this race, but how tasteless is it for a sitting governor to make a comment like this particularly in a state with a lot of immigrants ?

Look at Davis' record. Not the republican spin. He took on the energy companies. He stopped the rolling black outs. He enacted many farmworker protections against pesticide poisoning that no other Governor supported or enacted. He promoted small classes for elementary children. Californian school children have improved and dropout rates have fallen. I am appaled by some of his fundraising, but I KNOW HE IS BETTER AND HAS MORE INTEGRITY THAN ARNIE AND ISSA AND WILSON AND MCKLINTOCK. I also know if this Republican power grab succeeds it will be duplicated in other states and by Dems in Cali. It will destabilize our democracy.
