BUSh said we COULDN'T WAIT the 90 days the UN weapons teams needed
to finish their inspections.

We've waited LONG ENOUGH!!! screeched bush and the bushbots.

Of course, they all say now that they NEVER EVER claimed there was an "imminent threat".

IMPATIENCE; a new rationale for war.

OVER TWO YEARS LATER, BUSH'S hand-picked weapons inspectors close the books; NO WMD in Iraq since the early 1990s. NO programs for WMDs. No NOTHING.

90 DAYS. OUR TROOPS' LIVES WERE NOT WORTH 90 DAYS.

FUCK YOU FOREVER, BUSH & RIGHTWING AMERICA.

they WANTED to atack no matter what. We KNOW it was planned even before 9/11.

4. Disarm, or we will disarm you.
Remember that? That was our rallying cry. That was our call to arms. I guess that was total shit, as well. I wonder what BushCo would say Saddam Hussein should have done immediately before the invasion, since he HAD in fact complied with our demands. More proving an absolute negative, sort of a theme today.

5. But remember Bush blamed the "drum beat to war" on the media
The same media we now know that they pay off with taxpayer funded bribes.

Speaking of which, has anyone mentioned the fact that the payoff to Williams was more than the President's yearly salary?

6. Impatience is not the sign of a good leader.
I would add that the other reason why Bush jumped the gun was because his only strategy for Iraq was to catch Saddam by surprise by attacking before the deadline. Remember Shock and Awe? He fully expected to kill him in that first strike and never considered what would happen if he failed.

10. indeed! Remember the bombing of the restaurant where Saddam
was supposedly eating? Instead a whole family and other innocents were killed. So many war crimes to count.

7. He's right, THEY couldn't afford to wait the 90 days
because it would have demonstrated absolutely and without a doubt THERE WERE NO WMDs THUS THERE IS NO LEGITIMATE REASON TO INVADE!

11. Pre-War Quotes From The WAR CRIMINALS!!!
"Simply stated, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction. There is no doubt he is amassing them to use against our friends, against our allies, and against us." - Vice President Dick Cheney, Aug. 26, 2002.

"The problem here is that there will always be some uncertainty about how quickly he can acquire nuclear weapons. But we don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud." National security adviser Condoleezza Rice, Sept. 8, 2002.

"After 11 years during which we have tried containment, sanctions, inspections, even selected military action, the end result is that Saddam Hussein still has chemical and biological weapons and is increasing his capabilities to make more." - President Bush, Oct. 7, 2002.

"Saddam Hussein is a man who told the world he wouldn't have weapons of mass destruction, but he's got them." - Bush, Nov. 3, 2002.

"The gravity of this moment is matched by the gravity of the threat that Iraq's weapons of mass destruction pose to the world." - Secretary of State Colin Powell, Feb. 5, 2003

... This is impeachable stuff here! Too bad we have no brave souls to persue it!

15. Bush should fire his advisers who planned the war, convinced him to
rush in and assured him it would be a "cakewalk".... Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowoitz, Perle, Rice.

Oh wait... I forgot, HE works for THEM.

19. Way with words Lynn
You express exactly how I feel too.

I will say this--- Wouldn't it be interesting (especially in light of Rathergate)to review that last one-on-one interview that Dan had with Saddam-- you remember, just days before the war started?
Who'da-thunk Saddam was telling THE absolute Truth (as he told it to Dan) about their being no WMD?
Well, I "thunk" it for one.
Even then it seemed sadly obvious that Saddam, and not Bush, was the one that was speaking the truth.
