Soc. Security;'s new electronic disability folder sucks!

For 2 or 3 years now we have been getting this technology that sucks! First we have this outdated program with function keys that is totally screwed. Our production and processing time have taken a nose dive since we have had it, now Bush has given SS all kinds of money to pilot this totally electronic folder where all the medical records are scanned and the whole file is online. I guess their eventual idea is they will contract it out by using this technology, but we are piloting it and it is AWFUL! Just because you can put a file online doesn't mean you can put it online and WORK on it. It is SO fucking cumbersome to review the medical evidence compared to just leafing through it it is a sin!

Every time a Republican gets in we get screwed here at Disability. When Reagan was in we got sued all the time and then the courts would return thousands of claims for us to re do and we'd get no new staff to handle the workload.

Oh for the Clinton years! Any time we had an additonal mandate or more work we got more money to deal with it. Clinton and Gore cut some staff but it was all middle management that didn't screw us who do the work!

This electronic folder takes the cake. It is like giving somebody a space shuttle to go across the street and buy a quart of milk. By the time you get into the thing to START working you could have been wrapping it up using our old system! Republicans, they have no concept of how things work!

write the software for it by chance? Not that I think he COULD write the software but did his COMPANY have anything to do with it by chance?
