THE BACKLASH COMETH.

I can't explain the feeling I have but it is very, very strong today. With the CIA report confirming what so many people warned of before the invasion of Iraq, and the massive buildup to the Coronation next week (I work in DC -- the preparations I see, the things I hear, and the impending sense of week-long gridlock make me cringe) -- I just have a very strong feeling that the liberal backlash is coming. Maybe even in time for the 06 election.

Am I alone in this?

But yesterday I spoke to the friend who was instrumental in 'waking me up' to the 2004 election & all that was at stake. We say F911 together. Turns out, she has completely dropped out of the political scene - she doesn't pay any attention. "Maybe in '08," she said. She had no idea about the election fraud issue.

I worry that the incredible momentum we gathered is spent.

And one of the most active ones who used to lead the meetups dropped out to "concentrate on business."

I'm kind of feeling that it is also hopeless due to the voting machines and the media bias. Without more Americans on our side - not a lot can be done. I will still be somewhat active in politics but the hopeful feeling I used to have has been replaced by one of cynicism.

I will probably work on the Florida Governors race though.

People know that cutting education funding is wrong.

People know that tax cuts for the wealthy was a choice for this administration - a direct benefit for the few at the expense of the many.

People know our national debt will ruin our existence.

People know that the changes to environment laws are killing us.

People know that the Social Security system works and works good and is healthy for at least 40 years. To change it is to purposely kill off our aging citizens. Once again, a choice was made by the barbarian in the WH - the tax cuts for the wealthy vs shoring up Social Security.

Jobs being exported overseas. Another detrimental aspect of overseas outsourcing - fewer jobs in America - fewer people paying into Social Security.

We have to stop this tyrant we call *.

But the fact is that prior to the election all the things about Bush were already known. The unemployment, the fact there was no WMD in Iraq, Bush smirking and joking around as he was looking for WMD under the chairs in the Oval Ofice as soldiers and Iraqis were getting killed every day, the jobs getting shipped to other countries, Bush stating he wanted to "reform" Social Security, the Patriot Act, the dismantling of environmental laws, the dollar falling against other currencies, the trade deficit, the tax laws favoring the rich, etc. So the boyking won the election. One would have thought the voters would have thrown him out by a huge margin. The fact that they didn't shows there is something vastly wrong with this country

Obvious or not, I am not religious. But, I have no problem with other's beliefs. They - they have a problem with my beliefs. I want to live healthy and free and with respect for other citizens.

I agree. There was a group of alabama national guardsmen who's families had a public ceremony when the coffins came off the plane. They insisted that the TV cocer it, and they did, in direct opposition to Bush orders. I hope more families do the same.
