There's no assurance that it won't go right in the contractor's pockets to cover the loss of oil money that they were promised.

And then there's Biden; "I'll support giving the president the money": Echoes of the last Democrat cave-in to Bush.

It's not going to the troops. It's not going to the Iraqis.

I suspect that instead of expecting other countries to provide for themselves and truly contribute he will use the funds to pay blood wages for their mercenaries to come in and make the US force look smaller.

When will he submit the emergency supplemental? Good reading ahead!

7. Congress must insist that their be bidding for the contracts,

otherwise there is no accountability for the spending of the money. Bidding for contracts allows both sides to have expectations. Under the current plan, we hand over money and look the other way.

they are just funnelling money into existing contracts or weapons systems that Congress had previously held up funding under a restricted budget. Like bunker-busters, mini-nukes, or new plutonium plants...Now the purse is open the military industrial warriors are suiting up for battle.
