he was quite close to Clinton, and I think they were genuinely friends. I have a hard time believing he actually likes * - I think he felt he had to go along, for some political reason which I will never really understand. I'm thinking he was bullied myself. I think he will like * less when he finds himself on the unemployment line because of the choices he has made. It appears the British are not quite as dumb as many Americans, and I believe he has done great damage to his own political future. Of course, maybe shrubby can appoint him to something when his own country fires him...

Who disagree very strongly with what the "little turd" (that's catchy), is doing and has done. I am what I call a "recovering catholic" - I left the church long ago because of it's hypocrisy and it's big-business appearance, among other things. I guess the major one being that I believe in a loving God, not a punishing, cruel one.

That being said, I can't believe that the catholic church (aside from its anti-abortion stand), would condone much of what has been done in the name of God. Of course there are the other very strong catholics who do have the "self-righteous, holier-than-thou attitude", and in my experience, those have been the ones who least practiced any kind of "christian" behavior in their daily lives. I think fundamentalism of any kind is quite dangerous. I like people who walk the walk, not those who talk (or should I say shout) the talk.

If Tony Blair is an example of a very strong catholic, he's giving the church a worse name than its already given itself.

the war, I was referring to his "christian faith" as one of the common denominators that helped forged the existing relationship he has with baby turd. I think Tony plays a lot of mind BS with himself so he'll never consciously admit that the real reason for his support of the war is so he can partake in the spoils of the war and get his piece of pie. It's all greed but he'll never admit that!

I remember an article in the Guardian about it where the members of the British press accompanying the Bliars were discussing how the Bliars hated the thought of having to spend time around Chimp and Pickles, whom they thought were dull, ignorant and stupid.

It begs the question, though, of what Bliar is doing supporting the disgusting actions of a man for whom he has no respect. Be easy to blame it on religion but Bliar, although seemingly a committed Christian, is far from being an idiot. We have an election next year and he'll pay for his actions then.
