What if We Here in DU Designed a Float or 2 for Bush's Big Parade?

Let's see.....a float to symbolize w and his notorious bad self...hhhhmmmmmmmm.....

Maybe a big monkey in a suit? Or a giant effigy of w with a huge rocket weenie? Or a floating balloon w, like the Macy's parade, with w holding weapons of mass destruction in one hand, and billions of dollars in the other?

2. A pig with WMD written in blood red on its side

with lots of lipstick standing on bodies of soliders & small children surrounded by oil derricks and private contractors (guys with safey helmets) with money falling out of their one piece work suits. One side of the float would say "FEAR: More Years" and the other side has a sign saying "Leave no child behind (with bombs drawn in)"

Just some thoughts.

They want, let them know they've just elected their greatest nightmare, not just ours. Plus, using their own symbology against them might help them change their minds.

possibly a pyramid of naked prisoners of war? a huge mushroom cloud float? or how about a float WITH NOTHING ON IT that says "weapons of mass destruction"?

What a great idea! Imagine a whole convoy of empty flatbed trucks ... and one of my co-workers just suggested some of those trucks that are used for carrying propane or bottled water, with both sides open so people can see the empty space inside!

As it moves along the parade route, the Red States break off and keep drifting further and further apart.

16. In '73 we tried to get a float in Nixon's parade

We made a giant rat, with Nixons head on it. It was made out of paper mache, chicken wire, and wood. It was designed to fit over my volkswagon beetle.

For some damned reason they refused to let us in. But, our Madison, Wisconsin chapter of Yippee's brought down 15,000 dead laboratory rats, that we threw at Nixon as he passed. Made the national news.

19. Mine would be an elaborate mechanical presentation

a la the Rose Parade, only not made of flowers. Pants-on-fire Bush stands next to the Constitution, holding Barney. He drops the dog, and when he bends over to pick him up, his pants light the Constitution on fire. Not real flames, of course - they're part of the elaborate mechanics. It would be entitled, "A Series of Unfortunate Events."

24. A giant stepped platform covered from edge to edge with

surveillance cameras monitoring the crowd, and on the top, nests of
30 calibur machine guns aimed at the crowd, that the aiming is on huge
video flat screens so that people can see themselves in the crosshairs.

At the top it could say "What are you afriad of! >> Patriot III is
coming <<<"

Then just for fun, one of the machine guns could fire a round in to the air just to let people know its live ammo... and to fool people, one of
the guns could be loaded with paintballs that could be shot at people
who look suspicious... all on camera, and hooked up to webcams, a
website, live mobile phone cams and a reserved TV channel.

28. Using face recognition software to pinpoint identities

So as people appeared in the 30-calibur sights, the flatscreens would
say "Jane Frankelson", 38 of St. Louis, MO. 1 former arrest for cannabis
posession, divorced, income last year 26,303... once dated a muslim.
