he does have some positions that I am wary of, like gun control, etc. I probably would've added Ted Kennedy to that list, his positions are more consistently liberal.

Normally, I would have voted for Dean. In this case I voted for Boxer because she stood up against voter fraud in Ohio. I think she deserves credit for that.

who was inspired by Ghandi. Not for their non-violence, or pacifism, but because of the sheer power and strength of the powerless they were able to tap into and make earth shaking change. The courage it took is amazing, to face an opponent so huge and massive, and yet bring it down. I wish I had even a little of their faith in ultimate justice.

Yes, we all didn't agree with the war in Iraq but neither did Clark or Kucinich. A lot of "Dean" was Joe Trippi.

I wish people would be a bit more concerned about substance (issues) over style. Yes, I admired Dean for his toughness and ouspokenness and he was a catalyst for the Party. He was also a very divisive person in the Democratic Party. I originally supported him but changed my mind once I saw what his record was as Governor.

Political labels would not apply to Dr. King for he fought for human rights. It is just a reflection of the times in which we live that the GOP label has come to represent a modern version of the Nazi swastika.

If Dr. King were alive today, he would be attacked and hated by Freepers and by the "GAWD Hates Fags" crowd.

For those not old enough to remember, Dr. King had to fight both major political parties to get them to join the fight against segregation. The Democrats were too afraid to offend (does that sound familiar) their Southern constituencies, so they looked the other way. It wasn't until the MSM broadcast the assault by the attack dogs of Bull Connor on a peaceful march in Birmingham that the moribund conscience of white America was jolted into reality.
