Poll question: Does flying the flag 'in distress' do more harm than good?
With all that those who already don't understand much that is wrong directly under their noses, does something as subtle as displaying the flag in distress do more harm than good?

1. I voted "NO", not because I'm able to evaluate popular opinion
that accurately, but because it's ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to let others know that there are a few naysayers to this madness. The mainstream media is pushing the "perception" that Bush has the commanding support of the US citizenry. NOTHING could be further from the truth, but worthless toothpaste becomes the market leader with enough Big Bucks Bullshit behind it. It's necessary to show waverers that The Emperor Has No Clothes.

2. ideally, I'd say 'no'
but it would also likely attract unwanted attention (ie: vandalism).

3. Common sense would apply to cars, and perhaps homes.
I had in mind the "NO IRAQ WAR" button ( http://www.forusa.org/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=books&Product_Code=iraqbut&Category_Code=BUTTON ) that I've been wearing from Day One to the present. It's brought forth a few sour looks, but the vast majority of responses were positive. I know I gladdened a few hearts. Likewise with a lapel button of the US Flag, I've recently improvised. When I look down at it beyond my chin, it looks "right side up" to me. That's all that matters.

4. ha. beautiful
I guess I pictured flying it outside of my house (and actually I thought about it a while back), but then thought of my neighbors who would probably tell their kids to throw a rock through "that librul commie traitor's window."
