Anti-Bush commercial idea: $87 Billion
Just keep flashing the figure $87 Billion while replaying the photo-op of him landing on the aircraft carrier.

When you come down to brass tacks, that's how much that photo-op cost the American Taxpayers.

3. I have a better idea
flash the $87 billion figure and show the figure 11 million Americans are unemployed, show pictures of the American people standing in the unemployment lines, pictures of the homeless people on our streets, and while you're at it.. also flash 93,000 jobs lost in the US...and show the figure of how many Americans have no medical insurance.
and then say..and he wants another $87 billion plus to rebuild Iraq?

Am I pissed? You bet !

KC

6. Tell your friends about www.costofwar.com
it shows the cost so far, and gives comparisions on how else the money could be used. and breaks it down by localities as well.

7. Marshall Plan
Another thing to remind people of:

Bush said helped rebuild Japan and Germany after WW2. That much is true.

What he left out was that at the time corporate income taxes provided 25-30% of Federal revenue (about 3-4 times what they do now), and the top marginal rate on personal income taxes ranged between 82 and 92% on incomes above $200K-400K (equivalent to several million dollars today after adjusting for inflation).

Naturally, these are the groups for which he is practically trying to eliminate taxes on. So much for "we" when it comes to commitments and sacrifices.

10. If you believe that...
...I can make you a deal on an old bridge over the East River...

Or would you prefer the oceanfront property in Montana?

11. What a coincidence
That figure is remarkably close to the $85 billion figure that Dean estimates will need to be raised by state and local governments to conform to Bush's unfunded No Child Left Behind legislation.

May the idiot be booed in perpetuity, wherever he goes.

12. Think of what could be done for the troops with that kind of cabbage!
Imagine the amount of good that could be done right here for the troops if we spent that kind of money on Veteran programs!
