1. "elsewhere"? :)
So you're going after MY tax-money now, huh? ;-) Clean up your own mess, no offence.

Salutations from Norway.

3. I agree.
This is bushes mess and by association the United States' mess. WE are responsible for rebuilding that which we destroyed. We should also pay punitive damages.

5. Whay about our infrastucture?
Edited on Mon Sep-08-03 07:49 AM by NicRic
What about educating our youth ? While the American tax payer is given this burden ,bushes buddies are making billions selling supplies to the milatary ! This is all a bad joke on the U.S., frist the attack on the trade center and then large corperation taking advantage of the situation. Not to even mention the worst thing of all ,our young men and women losing their lives over a totaly unnessary war ! Anybody who still believes in this President (I never did) Iam sorry to say they are STUPID !!!!

7. Do people realize that "elsewhere" means other nations?
and the requisite asking them to clean up our mess? How pathetic is that?

What about the gigantic oilreserves that are in Iraq? Put it on the market (the free world market, not just the U.S. market) and use that money for the rebuilding. It's Iraqs money, anyway, I think it would be fair to use some of that money where it already is.

Edit: I say "some" because the people of Iraq shouldn't have to pay for the U.S. troops flying in t-bone steaks and beer.

And all the billions of dollars that Saddam hid away from the food for oil program? Where are they?

This is very optimistic, ofcourse. I think that the U.S. handling the Iraqi oil wells and reserves are like having a wolverine as a landlord in the chickenhouse. Like the wolf in the chickenhouse, Bush will feast until he is satisfied, then he'll invite his friends over for dinner.

The money will "disappear" and his oil buddies (i.e. Halliburton) will suddenly and surprisingly see their stocks skyrocketing. And guess what will happen after that? Bush will say "look here, the economy is growing!" and the citizens of the U.S. (and possibly also Europe, who knows) will be stuck with the bill.

10. Elsewhere in my mind means
rolling back the Bush tax cuts to his rich friends and raising corporate tax rates and ending the offshore/foreign tax loopholes.

That's the only way I'd personally go along with this. Other countries who were rightly against Bush's invasion should not have to bear any of the financial burden.

He's our incompetent boob and unfortunately we have to deal with his fuck ups.
