Is she really a phD or is it one of those bullshit "doctor" things?

If she's a phD .... in what? I seem to recall something about Russian studies or some such.

1. University of Denver, 1981. I would assume it's as legit as anyone

else you call doctor that doesn't prescribe medicine.

but she's a legitimate academic, although one with a specialty area that is a bit moot in today's world. It isn't a mail order degree, if that's what you're asking.
