When it suits them, they pretend they're Texans - all macho, strutting and belligerence. When it suits them, they pretend they're still aristocratic Old Money New England Preppies who believe in high-mindedness, simple living and a disdain for ostentatious, conspicuous consumption and public displays of wealth.

The problem is, the further the family gets from its Old Money New England Preppy roots, the more the vulgar, entitled, belligerent Texan comes out. The generation of Jenna, Babs, Noelle and George P. were not indoctrinated a la the Kennedys with any form of "to whom much is given, much is expected." They're just the Paris Hiltons of politics - trust fund brats with no talent, no distinction, no grace, no polish and no sense of responsibility.
