Did I hear that U.S. casualties in Iraq are classified?

a couple of weeks ago. This was the number released by the Pentagon. They're low-balling again.

6. I think its some pretty serious numbers

having read over 6,000 wounded - started with 150,000 troops on the ground (none of those have been sent home without being replaced is my recollection) - then we're hearing 139,000 - loss of 11,000 - Byrd said 136,000 and * said 130,000 last night. THAT'S why we now need the UN so bad. They are losing all their cannon fodder too quickly. Of course 8 suicides and those soldiers dying of toxin poisioning aren't helping matters either.

But he added that they probably only handled about half of them, so that would make 8,000.

This was in a story in LBN last week or before.
