Not that I ever have, after all this is sui. This in an e-mail from my SO this morning, and I completely agree:
I'm so angry I could scream.
This morning on the news they took great pains to let everyone know that the presidential limo was able to stop and let George and Laura walk the last Hundred yards to the White House (as is tradition) -- I am sure because Michael Moore's movie let 90 million people know that they were not able to do that last time.
They were also very proud of the fact that there were very few protestors and that the overwhelming number of Bush supporters were able to drown them out with boos and hisses.
Well duh. They closed the entire city off to all but card carrying party members who swore allegiance to der Führer -- and now we know that they beat that small group of protestors into submission.
But the proper response to republicans is:
You know there weren't a whole lot of protestors outside the Nürnberg rallies either -- but that didn't prove that Hitler was an enormously popular leader or that he spoke for the majority of the German people.
We have to stop this practice of refusing to draw comparisons. Just like those who said "You can't criticize the president about the 'War on Terra'" -- as soon as you agree to take something off the table, the other side has won. They were not too embarrassed to use the "H" word to describe John Kerry or to call Hillary a feminazi. -- We should not be embarrassed at all about throwing it right back at them. They are the Nazi party.
